The UK airline will offer no-cost fast onboard wifi via Starlink agreement
Travelers flying with the airline can soon use quick wifi during flights at no cost due to a new agreement with Elon Musk's communications company.
Complimentary and Fast Wifi for All
The carrier announced that this no-cost, “quick and reliable” internet offering through SpaceX becomes available to customers flying coach, business, or premium cabins as of the coming month.
Broad Rollout Across Various Airlines
The parent firm of the airline, IAG, confirmed it had reached an agreement involving SpaceX to offer internet coverage across more than 500 aircraft within its carriers, including Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, and Vueling.
Seamless Connectivity from Boarding to Arrival
BA noted that this rollout of this technology was included in a multi-billion pound “transformation” plan that will offer smooth internet service to flyers starting at boarding through arrival, even when in flight over large bodies of water or isolated areas.
Customers will be able to hook up numerous gadgets and they will not need a unique password.

Present Connectivity Options
Restricted wifi service is currently provided for BA flyers across nearly all of its aircraft via their .air system.
Participants in BA’s frequent flyer program are able to transmit communications and plain-text emails during flights at no cost, while flyers who want to watch music, movies, or movies during their flight and are not flying in business or first can expect to be charged between £4.99 to twenty-one pounds ninety-nine for one wifi bundle.

Ongoing Improvements at BA
BA's executive team have been working to improve the airline back after years of budget reductions, system failures, strikes, and staff cuts.
BA stated that application of smart technology has assisted the airline to achieve its timeliness at record highs since over a decade ago.
Earnings Outlook
In August, BA reported a rise for earnings for H1 of this year, helping to push the parent company earnings upward.
The group is due to announce its earnings covering Q3 recently soon.

The airline's announcement follows days following wireless provider the telecom firm announced it was working with the satellite provider to improve wireless service in rural parts of the UK, by allowing customers to automatically hook up phones via satellites in the absence of traditional mobile signal is available.
