Trevoh Chalobah in action

The Chelsea star emulated his sibling Nathaniel in representing England, emerging as the 21st pair of brothers to play for the England side.

Trevoh Chalobah is likely to be added to the Three Lions selection to cover for unavailable Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old is scheduled to link up with the national side for England's last World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Serbia, although it has not yet been officially announced.

The national side have already qualified for next summer's competition.

Chalobah earned his first call-up under England manager Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then played his first game against the Senegalese team.

In September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unfortunate to be left out from the team for qualifying games against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally didn't call him up for the subsequent October fixtures.

Tuchel has been an significant figure in Chalobah's development, having given him his Chelsea first-team bow in 2021.

Chalobah has played in nearly all fixtures for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the team third in the English top flight, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and in the league phase of the European competition.

Guehi picked up a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League success over the Dutch side last week.

There are set to be other call-ups to the selection. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (a concussion) will withdraw from the national team.
